DVBIC brings together leading experts from the traumatic brain injury (TBI) field annually to provide multidisciplinary education events for health care providers involved in all aspects of TBI care, education and research for the military population. Most events are offered in person and virtually. Slide presentations, and video and audio recordings from past events are available below.

2017 Events

2017 DCoE Summit

Sept. 19-21, 2017 – DCoE is accepting abstracts for the 2017 summit now through April 21. They are looking for abstracts or posters that focus on advancements (or best practices) of psychological health or traumatic brain injury care with a connection to military health care.

This year’s summit, scheduled Sept. 19-21, is an online virtual event. Health care professionals, researchers and academicians from around the world will interact live via a web conferencing platform.

2016 DCoE Summit

Sept. 13-15, 2016 – The 2016 Defense Centers of Excellence for Psychological Health and Traumatic Brain Injury Summit brought together health care professionals and academics to exchange knowledge on the State of the Science: Advances, Current Diagnostics and Treatments of Psychological Health and Traumatic Brain Injury in Military Health Care.

2016 DCoE Summit Sessions Now Available On Demand

The 2016 DCoE Summit is back and on-demand! You can register for access to summit sessions and apply for continuing education credits. Sessions are only available until April 2017.

Register online today: CE Learning Center. Up to 28 hours of CE credits are available for health care providers. CE credits vary by course.

2015 DCoE Summit

Sept. 9-11, 2015 – The DCoE Summit: Continuum of Care and Care Transitions in the Military Health System promoted a collaborative approach to meeting the psychological health and traumatic brain injury needs of today's service members, veterans and their beneficiaries in all treatment contexts and phases of recovery. 2014 TBI Global Synapse

Sept. 15-17, 2014 – Sessions addressed best practices in TBI assessment, diagnosis and treatment; innovative approaches to multidisciplinary care; management of comorbidities, including psychological health conditions; and successful reintegration strategies.
